Well it took me a while to get them all sorted (also I was busy giving out candy to kids all evening and dressing my daughter up in a bee suit…) but here are the entries we received for the 2008 Pumpkin Carving Contest! Considering the short notice I gave everyone for this first year of doing it, I think the results were awesome!

Up until August there were only 2 games on Xbox Live Arcade that cost over $10.  These were Roboblitz, which came out in December 2006 for 1200 points ($15 dollars), and Penny Arcade Adventures, which released this last May for 1600 points ($20 dollars).

Tonight, the entire staff of threevue.com tried to get online and play Castle Crashers, but all was not well. Only 2/3 of us could get online in the same room at any time. Then Tyler had to leave to watch a movie (I think it was a midnight screening of Bambi), so then Mark and I played for about, oh, 5 minutes before it booted him off.

Professorhazard digs hot four on four action! I imagine if Hyrule Castle got crashed this is what it’d look like!

The greatest achievement of this console generation isn't HD graphics or motion control, it's the downloadable game. Why? The experiences are shorter, which just means whatever good ideas the designer had are more concentrated.

Castle Crashers is easily one of the best XBox Live games to come out in a while. Created by the talented folks behind Alien Hominid, it’s an absolutely brutal, non-stop action game where… well, you die. A lot. And you love it.
